17 December, 2010 "First IEEE GRSS India Meet"
After successful completion of first IEEE-GRSS meet during ICMARS-2010 of Indian members at Jodhpur India, we are planning to organize the Second Meeting of IEEE-GRSS during ICMARS-2011 being held from 7th December to 10th December 2011.
The First meeting of IEEE GRSS, was attended by Dr. Anthony K. Milne, Dr.Wolfgang Martin Boerner and Dr. Wooil M. Moon, and they encouraged us to organize such meet as this would help in enhancing the broad canvas of Geo science and Remote Sensing in India. And some of the IEEE GRSS Adcom members are actively participating in our conference this time, and first two sessions of ICMARS 2011 are dedicated to IEEE-GRSS in consultation by Dr. Adriano Camps and one session on POL-IN-SAR in consultation with Dr. W M Boerner. The first IEEE- GRSS meeting was also attended by following Indian members: Dr. G. Viswanathan, Dr. G. Venkatraman, Dr. Animesh Maitra, Dr. Karbhari Kale, Prof. N. K. Agarwal, Mr. O P Vyas, Mr. Sanjay Gaur, Dr. S N Joshi, Mr. Dinesh Bohra, Prof. OPN Calla, Ms. Shikha Kalla, Ms Pooja Asopa and Mr. Inder Singh Rathore. And we hope that this time also, the Second meeting of IEEE-GRSS will be attended by the above mentioned delegates.
So, I request you all, to please join the ICMARS-2011 as well as the IEEE-GRSS meet during this conference and also have the opportunity to interact with IEEE GRSS Adcom members.
At ICMARS 2011, we will provide facility for becoming online members of IEEE GRSS. Those Indian Teachers and students who are attending ICMARS 2011 and IEEE GRSS meeting will be provided with the travelling allowances and accommodation. Those who are not members of IEEE GRSS and want to become a part of this meeting then either they can become a member of IEEE GRSS on their own or during ICMARS 2011 we will provide the facility for becoming online members of IEEE GRSS. And those who are already members of IEEE GRSS are welcome to attend this Second meeting of IEEE GRSS during ICMARS 2011 at Jodhpur.
The meeting will be followed by the dinner to be hosted by ICRS. And please pass on this information further so that more and more people can become aware regarding the meeting of Indian Members of IEEE-GRSS.
